About Us

When I was a little girl, my dad used to pick me up from school, and we’d ride in his Jeep all the way out to where he kept his boat on Lake McQueeney. He’d start up the engine, and the bubbles from the propeller would rumble beneath the water, igniting me with excitement. We’d back up and out to the perfect spot near Treasure Island, close to the twin cypress trees. Once there, I would slip into my bindings and push off of the stern into the chilly waters, waiting for him to slack out of the rope as he pulled forward until I gave my final go signal.
 
The memories and nostalgia this lake brings to me are often difficult to explain, but somehow, I know it’s the same for all who have experienced this beautiful place. For quite some time now, I’ve wanted to create something that would be representative of what this lake means to us who have been fortunate to grow up with it in our backyard or spend summers here.

Collective means a group of people acting together. McQueeney Collective was created for all of us who, together, love and enjoy this lake!
